I initially purchased the #21N shade of this cushion and absolutely loved the formula but found that shade a bit too dark. I am a pale Caucasian woman with sensitive combination skin, I usually use the #2 Pure21 shade of the ROM&ND bare water cushion which is a good colour match for me. I would say this #17C Porcelain shade of the Tirtir cushion is very similar to Pure21, there may still be a slightly warmer undertone compared to the cooler pinky undertone in the Rom&nd water cushion, but it isn't very noticeable imo. I'm not seeing any orange which is a win! This cushion is more matte than the water cushion and the coverage is a lot fuller, it looks a lot more glam and flawless but still feels very lightweight. I love the Rom&nd water cushion but it is very dewy, reflective, and sheer. Coming into winter I'm looking for something with more coverage that is easier to wear with richer skincare products underneath.

Some tips for application! I apply all my makeup over a toner, essence/ampule, moisturiser and spf. I've seen quite a few mixed reviews on socials for this product, especially around oxidisation problems. A couple of times I noticed very slight oxidisation if I applied the puff directly to my skin after picking up the product with the cushion. This was resulting in a slightly cakey texture for me, especially if my skincare was on the drier side. I rate using a good moisturiser under this product, I think it sits so nicely on top of my skincare and I like the richness of the formula going into winter. I found this hack online for the oxidisation problem and it works really well for me, I'll share it here:

1. Press the puff into the cushion product *lightly*, THEN
2. Pat the puff into the black plastic palette/lid of the case to even out the product on the puff, THEN
3. Pat directly onto your skin like a beauty blender

This method worked amazingly for me, the product feels even lighter and looks more natural. I haven't seen any hint of oxidisation applying it in this way. It's such a simple method and it makes such a difference! I hope this helps if you're struggling. My final tips would be using a cream blush/contour for easy blending, lightly setting your cream blush with powdered blush, and lightly setting oily areas with translucent powder for best results. I really do think less is more for this one, but it looks SO good! The effort is 100% worth it x

This cushion is soo worth the hype, it has such a natural semi-matte finish that stays all day! It’s so easy to apply, the puff picks up a lot of product so it’s better to be more light-handed, and even a thin layer has really good coverage. It’s got a light refreshing scent I like as well. (Also I haven’t noticed the oxidation changing the colour drastically like I’ve read in other reviews…) Overall I highly recommend this product - works well for all occasions and looks soo good!

Wow, so Lightweight. little goes long way! Covers all my blemishes so well. Packaging is super cute! Definetely recommend!
